"Homeland Security moves forward with 'pre-crime' detection."

Well, isn't this special?

I wonder how the system will read basic situational awareness as Col. Cooper taught in his book "Principles of Personal Defense"

I would merely note that "What ELSE would one expect from 'Law Enforcement' in this country?"

But I'm sure that most of them are fine upstanding chaps, and this is only the work of a few rare bad apples who will be quickly brought to task by the overwhelming numbers of their good peers.

Or not. Yet again, the stench is overwhelming.

You would think they would stay away from a word like FAST to name a program! Clueless numbskulls.

Mark, buddy...

Just relax and repeat the mantra,

"If you haven't committed a crime and aren't about to, you have nothing to worry about."

There now. Feel better?

Swear to God, it's like the constitution and bill of rights never existed at all. Can you hear them rattling around in the tripwires?

Those are the ones who got tangled up, the others made it through.

How Philip K Dick's "Minority Report" went from book and film and into my real life.

Tried to open the link to read the full article & my computer couldn't/wouldn't go there.

MM - I, too, am the family pessimist. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it!

Hmmm - does anyone else get the feeling that when you boil this down to its lowest common denominator, it is simply PROFILING? Admittedly it is wrapped up in high tech computer mumbo jumbo but at its heart it is still just predicting potential future behavior based on essentially an educated guess.
And we all remember how the movie and the book turned out................

I wonder if HS has a computer program that will show how many LEO's will die because of HS's stupidity.
