It is my hope you post the same message on this day for many years to come, Mike.

A blessed Easter to you and yours as well.

His resurrection gave us Gods righteousness. Not self righteousness.
I celebrate that fact today. Happy Easter.

Maybe I am just picking nits, but now that the day is passed and I'm not raining on anyone's picnic I need to point out that 'Easter' is a pagan holiday.

Resurrection Day on the other hand is what we should be properly celebrating, if one is a Christian that is.

It disturbs me deeply that holidays are being commercialized or otherwise neutered. There is no place for 'Halloween' or 'Easter' on the Christian Calendar. Christmas is aligned to correspond with the Winter Solstice - Christ was likely born on a cold March evening. Valentines celebrate lust, St. Patty's day celebrates drunkenness with green food coloring... yeah it didn't start that way, but it's where we are at now that is bothering me.

If you are a culture warrior and intend to be a defender of the faith, you might want to research how most pagan holidays were 'sanctified' by the medieval Church in an attempt to Christianize the heathens.

Like the war on terror or the war on drugs, this was an initiative that seems to have had the opposite result from what was intended...
