NRA’s ‘A-’ grade for Begich in Alaska Senate race endangers GOP takeover

The reason “pro-gun Democrat” Begich was not endorsed this time around, as he has been in the past, is because he voted to confirm Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court, and after gun owner uproar, NRA pledged to score those grades. An “A-” isn't much of a price to pay, and it’s fair to ask how meaningful that is if two total betrayals for anti-gun judges committed to ruling against the Second Amendment results in such a lenient penalty. Even without the endorsement, Alaska gun owners are still presented with someone they’re told they can trust, especially after NRA’s spokesman made a special point of assuring them “On gun votes, Begich has stood with NRA members 100 percent of the time.” Is that truly the case? If so, why has Gun Owners of America given Begich a “D”?

Now, as for GOA, I'll say this. EVERY democrat should gain a standing F for being a DEMOCRAT. This because as a PARTY, those members stand AGAINST the government of republican form (they very thing Americans PLEDGE allegiance TO! In essence, they are ALL direct traitors - offering aid and comfort to the ENEMY within.

Then, with the new deadline looming, holder will ACTUALLY resign, leaving the DOJ rudderless. It will then claim compliance is impossible until a new DOJ head is confirmed. See the "blame republicans" coming? But alas, never fear, the rinos will then confirm quickly the new sludge- only to witness the newly confirmed AG claim he or she needs "more time" to comply the 22? Sure. Of next year maybe and prolly the year after that!

Anonymous said...: The NRA is NOT controlled by Democrats! They just occasionally grade a Democrat higher than he should be graded because there are a FEW Democrats who do support Amendment II. I wish The NRA would not do that, but they claim to be a single-issue organization. Unfortunately, any Democrat in office just gives the anti-second-amendment forces more power. If The NRA never backed a Democrat, they could be accused of being an arm of the Republican Party, and they would be.
