When in peril or in doubt . . .

Now that's my idea of a real man! Upon seeing firearms he panics and says "it was scary"... I wonder if there were any full-autos in the bunch that could have been re purposed?..And how come i never seem to find a bag full of guns?

Anon 5:25,
My thoughts exactly. Scary? So much for the mentality of the British serf (they should no longer be allowed to call themselves "citizens").
As for the guns and ammo? They would have quietly disappeared into my house, with an oath of omerta to all the family.

And as for the po-po, "cannot be used or reactivated." You win the Bullitzer prize of the day.

Lesson: Bury your guns and ammo deeper than a metal detector can penetrate and put lots of pieces of real scrap metal shallow all around where you bury your guns.

(1) The British ARE NOT CITEZINS. They are subjects of the Crown, with no rights of any kind not granted by Her Majesty's Government.(HMG) (2) Ownership or possession of any firearm , ammunition or "other" modern weapon,(or flintlock for that matter) not permitted and registered , by and with HMG, will get an automatic visit from a Crown SWAT team. (3)ALL weapons possession in the UK is regulated or outright "banned" with the exceptions of Bows , Arrows and Knives; and has been for generations.(4) HMG WILL send a SWAT team if they suspect a single unregistered round of ammunition, this to include bullets, powder or fired shell cases . The man panicked because he knew what kind of shit storm was about to fall on his family for having FOUND this "stash". The UK is the most oppressive police state on earth, and considered by many to be the worlds largest prison.---Ray

I'd have taken them to my Sheriff out of concern that they might have been used in a crime or been stolen. But if they hadn't, I know I'd get them back because he's a good Sheriff.

The book on "how to cache weapons" states that caches should be placed in areas with lots of junk metal scattered here and there, buried at different depths, and especially over the real cache, which should be placed deep under a cache of junk metal objects, for obvious reasons. That fourteen year old would have detected a large metal signal, dug a bit, found junk metal objects and moved on with out finding the weapons cache underneath. Lesson learned.

I would not give my name either. When the peaceful, purposeful Muslims who buried the weapons cache find out they will not be able to celebrate the will of Allah, they will come looking for the people with the metal detector.
